KINESIOLOGIST / PERSONAL TRAINER

Kurtis has been training for more than ten years. He participated in a variety of sports such as football, soccer, volleyball, hockey, waterskiing, golf, and baseball. After graduating high school, Kurtis went to the University of Guelph-Humber and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Kinesiology Degree and a Diploma in Health Promotion.

Kurtis has gained experience in general population training. He has also worked with high-performance athletes preparing for their sport at elite levels. This experience has helped Kurtis find a firm grasp on the potential the human body has and its capabilities but still views himself as a student of the trade willing to learn and explore new concepts that are backed by science.

Kurtis believes any fitness goal is achievable and that you should enjoy life when working towards those goals. He teaches each of his clients with the idea that proper movement through all its ranges is necessary to gain strength and stability. Increasing strength will make functional life more comfortable.

Kurtis is very adamant on technique and safety through training and sport and likes to view traditional ways of preventing or treating an injury. Kurtis has experience in program building and nutrition planning tailored to goals in both weight gain and loss.
